In this study, Dr. Peterio involved 12,615 volunteers with suspected coronary artery disease. Their 'struggle' levels in climbing stairs are measured by MET or metabolic equivalents. Mild intensity is indicated by MET below 3, moderate intensity between 3-6, and weight over 6 MET.
