News24xx.com - Quora's question and answer site revealed data on 100 million users accessed by hackers.  The data accessed includes email addresses, usernames, passwords to social networking data that is linked to Quora accounts such as Facebook and Twitter.

"Quora found on Friday that one of the systems had been hacked by an evil third party," said CEO Adam D'Angelo as reported by CNN.

Hackers also get detailed user activities such as questions, answers, upvote, and downvotes. However, questions and answers written anonymously are not affected by the actions of hackers.

"Most of the content accessed is common on Quora, but account compromises and other personal information are serious," said D'Angelo.

Quora is currently intensively informing these hackers of their users. Quora logs out to these accounts.

"We believe we have identified the main causes and taken steps to overcome this problem. Our investigation is ongoing and we will continue to make security improvements," said D'Angelo.

Quora is a site where you can ask specific questions. These questions will then be answered by users who have the knowledge to answer your questions. Previously, the Marriott hotel chain (MAR) revealed last week that the reservation system was hacked. This hacking action has the potential to expose information from 500 million guests.
