News24xx.com - Sharing something to our roommate is considered normal for some people, but if suddenly our personal items including food just disappear of course that will anger us. This was experienced by a woman in Taipei, Taiwan whose name was unknown. She occupied a room with 5 other women at Chinese Culture University.

Quoted from Oddity Central, December 7th 2018, last month the woman was upset because she lost her yogurt packaging and found them empty in the trash. She then asked her roommates about who drank her yogurt but no one confessed.

Not accepting the answer she got, the woman brought an empty yogurt bottle to the police station. She filed a lawsuit about the theft and then asked the police to carry out an official investigation to reveal who stole her yogurt which only costed her USD 2.

If police in other countries might be able to refuse to handle this case, apparently the Taiwan police accept this case. Previously the police asked the five roommates of the victims, but then again no one confess. They finally decided to take a DNA forensic test to find out who had lied.

Unmitigated, DNA tests cost almost USD 600. This amount is considered not comparable to uncover cases of theft of the yoghurt which only cost USD 2.Until now it was unclear whether the police had succeeded in uncovering yogurt thieves or not, but certainly their actions were highlighted by the public, because the funding for DNA testing is using public funds.
