Xiaomi will soon be releasing its newest smartphone with 48 MP camera

News24xx.com - Just in a few days the founder of Xiaomi will release a teaser which implies that it is in preparing a 48 MP camera phone, now a leak appears that says that Xiaomi is working on a new smartphone which will be announced on December 24.

This information comes from Weibo users who say Xiaomi is planning a new event between December 17, 2018 and December 26, 2018, and mentions the most likely date is Christmas Eve.

According to rumors circulating Xiaomi is ready to present a cellphone camera with a 48 MP resolution. The smartphone that will come with a 48 MP resolution camera itself is estimated to be the Xiaomi Mi 9.

President Xiaomi, Lin Bin, through his Facebook account, showed a leak from this cellphone. But it still cannot be ascertained whether this mobile phone is true is Xioami Mi 9 or not.

According to outstanding information Xiaomi will carry Sony IMX586 sensors. For an illustration, the Nokia 808 Pureview has a camera with 40 MP resolution and the Huawei Mate 20 has a 42 MP resolution camera.

If indeed Xiaomi takes out a cellphone with a 48 MP resolution camera it will automatically defeat the two phones mentioned earlier.

Although it did not reveal anything else, but the smartphone is called Xiaomi Play. From its name it can be guessed it looks like Xiaomi will target the children's market and also the game enthusiasts.

Not too much if it is true that Xiaomi Play will be a gaming smartphone. Whereas Honor also has a Play variant that does target the same segment. Although Xiaomi also participated in refining the Blackshark gaming smartphone, Blackshark was actually not owned by Xiaomi.

Regarding Xiaomi Play, speculation states that this device is just a rebranding of the F1 Pocophone for the Chinese market. But all this information is still a rumor, so it's good to wait for more information.
