One Piece has named as the Most popular comic in Japan on Heisei’s era

The comic series written by Eiichiro Oda is also successfully selected as the manga whose storyline represents the Heisei era. The era of Heisei is an era in Japan that began on January 8th, 1989 until now or the day after the death of the Emperor Showa Hirohito. This era is predicted to come to an end on April 30th, 2019, or the date of Emperor Akihito renounced his throne.

According to a survey conducted by a Japanese electronic book vendor called Book Live!, a survey was conducted on 5653 people. They were required to choose one of the most read manga throughout the year. Of the thousands of accounts, the most chosen one is One Piece. One user said, "One Piece is a masterpiece that can be enjoyed both by children and adults."

This manga was first published in 1997 and has more than 90 volumes. Until now, One Piece comic has successfully sold for 320 million copies. Besides One Piece, the most widely read and popular manga are Detective Conan, Dragon Ball, Chibi Maruko-chan, Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, and Gintama.
