News24xx.com - The Russian President, Vladimir Putin claimed he did not want to banned the rap music in Russia. He only wants to control to avoid 'state degradation'.

Reported by NME, Putin was known to have met with a local cultural advisor on Saturday, December 15 2018 to discussed the attitude that should be taken regarding the detention of Husky rapper.

The Husky, whose real name is Dmitri Kuznetsov, was detained last November after his concert was banned on the grounds that the content was too extreme. The 25-year-old rapper climbed the roof of the car for 30 seconds before being forced down by the police.

Accused of chaos in a public place, the Husky problem increased because he refused to take medical tests.

During this time he was known for his lyrics which tended to be critical of the government. In the live broadcast meeting, Putin argued that instead of banning rap, he preferred to 'lead and direct it'.

According to Putin, rap music is based on three things, namely sex, drugs and protest.

"The most important thing is to pay attention to illegal drugs. This is very clear. That [medicine] is the road to national degradation," he continued.

The Russian government seems to realize that rap music is developing very rapidly in the underground landscape of the country.  With the help of the internet, their music is still heard by many fans because there is no possibility to show on television or radio.
