The uniqueness of Ice Hotel will operated for 12 months before melting

News24xx.com - The Ice Hotel is estimated will operate for 12 weeks, starting December 17, 2018, before finally melting. 

Located in Jukkasjärvi, as many as 34 artists from 13 countries intervened in the construction of the hotel whose walls, floors and roof were made of ice.

Since a few months ago they were in Jukkasjärvi to design 2,500 tons of snow and ice into a special hotel building. 

This year is exactly the 29th year old Ice Hotel. The building can really be accommodated during the year-end holidays, although it's made from ice.

To make it sturdier, the artists combine snow and ice ingredients called snice (snow and ice) as building materials for Ice Hotel.

If the material used is Popsicle, then as many as 110 million Popsicles are the building material for this hotel.

Not just walls, floors and roofs made of snice. Trinkets in it, such as chandeliers, are also made of the same material.

A chandelier are made from 1,000 ice crystals which now adorn the hotel's main dining room. The guest rooms are made themed, there is an ocean theme titled 'The Living Ocean Suite' made by British artist Jonathan Paul and Marnie Green. 

There are also forest-themed 'Spruce Woods' with decorations in the form of bonfires from ice carvings.

Quoted from the House of Beautiful on Tuesday, December 18 2018, the construction of the Ice Hotel has started since March every year. 

All raw materials taste from the flow of water on the Torne river which was frozen until October, when the work began.
