News24xx.com - Roberto Firmino made a new record in the Premier League after scoring a hat-trick against Arsenal. Mohamed Salah plays a big role there. In the match against the Gunners at Anfield on Sunday, December 30th 2018 early morning, Liverpool won with a score of 5-1. Coming from behind, Liverpool scored 4-1 at the end of the first half through a pair of Firmino goals, Sadio Mane goal, and Mohamed Salah's penalty.

In the second half, Liverpool added its fifth goal through Firmino’s penalty which also led him to score the first hat-trick for the Red. This Hattrick made Firmino now become the sharpest Brazilian player in the Premier League with 43 goals, past the score of his former teammate Philippe Coutinho (42 goals). Firmino recorded it in 120 appearances since he was in uniform in Liverpool 3.5 years ago.

In addition, Firmino became the third Brazilian player to make a hat-trick in the Premier League after Robinho for Manchester City against Stoke City in October 2008 and AfonsoAlves while defending Middlesbrough against Manchester City in May 2018.

Firmino's hat-trick did become a headline this weekend but it wouldn't matter without Salah's role, who was willing to give a penalty for his team-mate. "2018 is closed with a Christmas present from Mo Salah and I really like that" said Liverpool manager JuergenKlopp, as quoted by Liverpool Echo.
