“Roscosmos» will send a squad of women into orbit

The company will look for candidates among female space rocket workers. According to the source, the corporation does not intend to wait until they sign up themselves, and will search for members of the squad on their own initiative. The training of women is organized in the light of future moon missions.

The “Orlan-ISS» spacesuit will be adapted to make it easier for women to work in it. It will complement the elements of the exoskeleton to enhance the hands of the operator. Thus, astronauts will be able to perform hard work behind the ISS and not only. The development of hand drives has already been launched.

In 2014, Elena Serova went to the ISS, she became the first Russian woman in space for 20 years. In addition to her, three more women from Russia and the USSR visited the orbit: Valentina Tereshkova, Svetlana Savitskaya and Elena Kondakova. 

The United States also sent 48 women flying, three of whom died in spacecraft disasters.
