Marty, cute robot that will walk around supermarket to help customers

But in this supermarket, sophisticated robots are actually used to monitor customers who are shopping there. So if the customers have difficulties this robot can help the customers immediately.

Giant Food Store, is one of the most popular supermarkets in the Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia regions. This supermarket is the only supermarket that has a sophisticated robot assistant named Marty. 172 branches of this supermarket will be given each one Marty. Marty's presence does not just replace all the work of the workers in the supermarket.

But Marty was in charge of overseeing and signaling unwanted things that threatened customers. The sophisticated robot can also see falling objects and notify customers directly or through public announcements at supermarkets.

Unlike other robots, Marty has a unique appearance. Because Marty has a googly eyes which often used as a doll's eye. "Marty does not replace our workers. Instead, it allows our team members to spend more time involving and helping the customers" said Ashley Flower, spokesman for Giant in Popular Mechanics, on January 15th 2019.
