Malaysia will ban every Israeli athletes to participate in any events held by the country

News24xx.com - The Malaysian government issued a regulation prohibiting Israelis from participating in any events and tournaments held by the Country. The decision was taken after Malaysia banned Zionist State athletes from participating in the world swimming championship for people with disabilities in July 2018.

Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah said the Malaysian cabinet had agreed to decide on the rules last week. "Even if we commit to holding an international event and tournament, they (Israelis) are not permitted to enter this country" Saifuddin said at a press conference, as quoted by Reuters on Thursday, January 17th 2019.

Malaysia has banned Israeli swimming athletes from participating in the Disability World Swimming Championship which happened in July 29 to August 4 in Sarawak. The tournament was attended by around 70 countries. The event was called an important event before the Tokyo Paralympics were held in 2020.

Just like Indonesia, Malaysia does not have diplomatic relations with Israel as a form of solidarity for Palestinian independence and a two-state solution. Saifuddin said Malaysia would continue to take such a position to fight for the fate of the Palestinian people.

They stated that what was experienced by the Palestinians was a humanitarian crisis. "We see the problem of Palestine not only from a religious perspective, it is a matter of humanity, human rights," he said.
