South Korea will operate the first taxi company for women only

News24xx.com - Women-only taxis, equipped with child car seats, will be available in Seoul, South Korea, this month, as announced by Seoul city government on Thursday.

The government issued business license to a taxi franchise company, Tago Solutions, which consists of 50 companies and 4500 taxis. They will test run a taxi service called Waygo Lady. Waygo Lady taxis are driven by women, and will only pick up female passengers and boys below middle school age.

The service will be tested for three months. There are around 20 Waygo Lady taxis that will run during the trial period. It is set to increase to 500 by next year.
