News24xx.com - Google announced two Android applications for people with special needs, in this case people who are deaf. Both of these applications are Live Transcribe and Sound Amplifier, which are designed to help people who are deaf. Live Transcribe is an application that will transcribe conversations in real time, which will help deaf people to be able to communicate in certain situations.

While Sound Amplifier is an application designed for deaf people. This application allows users to review the sound settings so that the sound can still be heard by the phone, or can be said to be a hearing aid through the cellphones. Sound Amplifier itself has been exhibited at May 2018 and then at the Google I / O event and only currently released to users, as quoted from The Verge, on Thursday, February 9th 2019.

Both of these applications will be embedded in Pixel 3 in the Accessibility Settings menu. But both are also available on the Google Play Store and can be used on phones other than Pixel. Even so, Live Transcribe is currently still in limited beta, and Sound Amplifier requires a cellphone running Android 9 Pie, which has limited availability.

Especially for Live Transcribe, this application does not merely transcribe existing conversations. It has a number of features to make it easier for users. As an example is a sign that indicates the noise level, so the users will know if they need to bring their cellphone microphone closer to the sound source to make it work optimally.
