This case occurred on February 21 of last year with a woman who was pregnant with triplets. When her labor pains began, she was taken to hospital in Yichang City, Hubei Province. When the first child was born, the contractions ceased. Since the birth began eight weeks early, the midwives decided not to rush things.

The labor pains resumed on February 28, and the woman gave birth to two twin girls. Because of the lack of weight, all three babies were placed in the department for premature babies.

"I have been working as a doctor for twenty years, and for the first time I saw someone give birth twice at a six-day interval", - said hospital's obstetrician Chen Aihua.
