News24xx.com - Before marrying Meghan Markle, Prince Harry dated actress Cressida Bonas for two years, from 2012 until 2014. But Cressida broke up with Harry after seeing Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first royal tour with their eldest son, Prince George.

It is said that Cressida was scared by the media coverage of the royals. Apparently, Chelsy Davy, another ex-girlfriend of Harry, broke up with him because she was scared of it as well.

Many commoners have fled romance with royals because they cannot stand the pressure, the criticism, and the scrutiny from the public and media. Sometimes, being near a royal is enough for you to get their attention.

This is exactly what happened with the relationship between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas. She was frightened after seeing the coverage of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s tour of New Zealand and Australia. According to royal biographer, Katie Nicholl, the tour was a “wake up call” for Cressida, who later dumped Harry.

“Cressida had been ‘completely spooked’ while watching TV coverage of William, Kate and George touring New Zealand and Australia that spring. There was no way she wanted that sort of attention and she told Harry so,” Nichol wrote, in Harry: Life, Loss, and Love.

On the other hand, Harry was completely in love with Cressida and tried to convince her to stay. He was crushed when she said “I can’t do this”.

Other than, Cressida Bonas, the other woman who dumped Harry for the same reason was Chelsy Davy, Harry’s first love. In their defense, Harry’s married had been the subject of scrutiny of the media.

“Twice [Harry] had been left heartbroken because the women he had fallen in love with didn’t want to share the life he had been born into,” Nichol said, as cited from Marie Claire.
