Australian has invested money of her clients in facelift

News24xx.com - Elderly Australian Christine Margaret O’Schia from Townsville, Queensland, took money from clients to play currency rates, and spent on cosmetic procedures.

O’Shia, who works for «Amway», has persuaded customers to give her over 84,000 Australian dollars in three years. The 69-year-old woman said she would purchase foreign currency for this money, including the Iraqi dinar.

According to the «TownsvilleBulletin” edition, from 2014 to 2017, the victims of the fraudster transferred her money more than 20 times. In fact, more than half of the amount Australian spent on cosmetic procedures, including facelift.

As soon as the clients found out about the embezzlement, they complained to the police about it. Against fraudsters opened a criminal case. O’Schia’s lawyer said that woman’s clients should have been aware of the risks involved in playing currency rates and didn’t require mandatory returns.

He also noted that the Australian has regularly donated to charity. According to him, she is ready to pay compensation of 30,000 Australian dollars in addition to 6.8,000 Australian dollars, which the police have already withdrawn from her and returned to the victims of fraud.

The woman was sentenced to imprisonment for two and a half years with the possibility of being released after four months of imprisonment and serving the remainder of her term on probation.
