New record carved by Manchester City as the first England team with 50 wins in one season

News24xx.com - Manchester City becomes the first English team to be able to achieve 50 wins in one season. The Citizens broke their own records. City managed to win the FA 2018/2019 Cup after beating Watford 6-0 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 18th 2019. The success brought the Citizens to close the season with the domestic treble, after previously winning the title of English League and the English League Cup.

Victory over Watford also made City the first English team to win 50 times in one season. The result passed 44 wins that they got last season. To note that this victory does not include the success of the City win through extra time.

City's 50 wins on this season comes from 32 wins in the Premier League, seven in the Champions League, six in the FA Cup, four in the English League Cup, and one in the Community Shield. This season, City had two wins on penalties. The victory came when defeating Leicester City in the quarterfinals and Chelsea in the final match of Carabao cup.
