Police arrested a suspect of hoax news about Chinese police in May 22 action

News24xx.com -  Finally, the police arrested Said Djamalul Abidin (SDA), the perpetrator of spreading false information or hoax news about the Chinese police that involved in the May 22 action.

"It is still being checked by the Directorate of Police Cyber," said the Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo on Friday May 24 2019.

Dedi said that the content of Chinese police hoax was not only distributed to social media. So far, the false news also has spread on WhatsApp and Facebook. 

Previously, the police managed to arrest Said on May 23, 2019 in Bekasi, West Java. From Said's hand, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of a cellphone.

"The content that found and disseminated contains information intended to generate hatred or hostility of certain individuals and / or groups based on ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup and / or intentionally showing hatred or hatred towards others based on discrimination "race and ethnicity and / or broadcast false news or notifications by deliberately publishing confusion among the people," said Dedi.

For his crime, Said will threatened for six years in prison.
