News24xx.com - More than 600 people, 75% of them are children, are identified contracting HIV in less than a month. This symptom first appeared in February in Ratto Dero, a small town in the southern part of Pakistan.

Initially a number of parents were worried because the fever suffered by their children never healed. The children then were then taken to the doctor. In a few weeks, more and more children suffer from similar diseases.

Dr. Imran Aarbani, a doctor who served in one of the hospitals in the city was surprised by this phenomenon. He then suggested that children to undergo a blood test. What he worried most turns out to be true about, the children have contracted HIV - and nobody knows why. "On April 24, 15 children tested positive for HIV, although none of their parents carried the virus" a hospital doctor told the BBC.

Rumors said, to deal with this problem, local officials of Sindh provincial health department sent families to a special unit in a city-owned hospital. However, perhaps even more surprising than this is that this outbreak is not the first that hit the region in recent years.

News mentioned the possibility of this outbreak hit the province of Larkana in Sindh, prompting thousands of people to undergo blood tests again in 2016. On this occasion, as many as 1,521 people tested positive for HIV, based on the numbers owned by the AIDS management agency, Sindh Aids Control Program (SACP).
