The author of Hunger Games' novel, Suzzane Collins will release the prequel novel of Hunger Games

News24xx.com - Suzanne Collins, author of Hunger Games book series, revealed that she will release the prequel novel of the series next year. Once the book has been released, Lionsgate will surely make a movie out of it right away.

According to new report, the book, which has yet to be titled, will be released in 2020. While the movie project will not start until the book is done, it is said that Lionsgate has already working on the writing process with Suzanne Collins.

“As the proud home of the Hunger Games movies, we can hardly wait for Suzanne’s next book to be published. We’ve been communicating with her during the writing process and we look forward to continuing to work closely with her on the movie,” said Joe Drake, the chairman of Lionsgate.

While the plot detail has not been fully revealed, it is said that the prequel will take place 64 years prior to the original tale. Due to the time period, it is impossible for the actors and actresses from the previous films to return, which means Lionsgate have to come up with an entirely new cast.
