News24xx.com - Jennifer Dulos disappeared from her home in Connecticut, US in May, after dropping her children at school. The investigators found her bloodstains in her garage.

Police then concluded that Dulov had been physically assaulted. Her former husband, Fotis Dulos, and his new girlfriend were arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence.

Dulos’ lawyer, Norm Pattis said that Dulov deliberately faked her own death to frame Dulos. It might have been inspired from Gone Girl, a 2012 novel about a woman who fakes her own murder to frame her husband. In fact, the lawyer said Dulov had written a 500-page manuscript that was similar to the story of Gone Girl.

The lawyer said that Dulov had severe psychiatric problems. In addition to that, a custody study was prepared to give Dulos unsupervised access to their children. Another proof is that Dulos received a bill in April for unknown blood work Dulov had done.

“If she were critically ill, thought she was about ready to lose control of her children, disappearing in such a way that made it look as though [her husband] were the culprit is the best p**s off you can give somebody,” he said.
