Legal and Human Rights Minister invited eight legal experts in forum group discussion (FGD) on Baiq Nuril’s case

News24xx.com - Legal and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly said that his side invited eight legal experts in forum group discussion (FGD) on Baiq Nuril’s case. 

The measure was taken to draft juridical argumentations to be presented to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo related to the amnesty submission filed by Nuril.

“We will draft legal argumentations for President about this case. To support this, [we hold] FGD with legal experts,” said Yasonna after the meeting with Nuril, Rieke Diah Pitaloka, and attorneys on Monday, July 8.

The legal experts in question are Muladi, Gayus Lumbun, Nospianus Max Damping, Ganjar Laksmana, Andi Saputra, Bivitri Susanti, Oce Madril, and Feri Amsari.

The session was also attended by the director general of legal administration (AHU) Cahyo Muzhar, director general of law and regulations Widodo Ekatjahjana, director of criminal affairs Lilik Sri Haryanto, Nuril’s lawyers Joko Jumadi and Widodo, as well as IT team from Communication and Information Ministry.

Previously, President Jokowi allowed Baiq Nuril to propose amnesty or pardon after the Supreme Court rejected her appeal for a case review (PK) on the alleged violation of electronic information and transactions (ITE Law).
