Explosion occurred at the Kabul university in Afghanistan, killing at least 8 people

News24xx.com - The death toll from the blast near the Kabul University in Afghanistan on Friday have risen to eight, Anadolu Agency reported, quoting an official.

"Thirty three people have been wounded and eight more were killed in today's explosion…in Kabul," Wahidullah Mayar, spokesperson of Afghanistan's Public Health Ministry, said on Twitter.

The injured people have been under treatment, Mayar added.

The blast happened as students were waiting outside the university to take their exams.

Two vehicles caught fire following the explosion.
