News24xx.com - 4 beach volleyball teams of Pekanbaru participated in the Indonesia Open Series 2019 national in West Sumatra that sent by the Department of Youth and Sports (Dispora).

Zulfahmi Adrian, Head of the Dispora of Pekanbaru City, said that the championship which took place in Pesisir Selatan District, Painan, West Sumatra, was held for four days.

"We sent down four teams, two man’s teams and two women's teams in the championship which was held from July 24 to July 28, 2019 in West Sumatra," Zulfahmi told Riau1.com, Tuesday, 23th of July, 2019.

This is the first time Pekanbaru's beach volleyball team has participated in the championship, which will be held at the Mini Rangeh Gadang Stadium, Painan, West Sumatra, Zulfahmi said.

"This morning we were released from the Dispora Office of Pekanbaru City, and this is the inaugural match for Pekanbaru's beach volleyball team following the National Match Competition," he said.

Zulfahmi confirmed, we did not give too high target for the Pekanbaru beach volleyball team.

"Because, this championship is a place for Pekanbaru beach volleyball teams to add to their experiences. If you get achievements, it will be amazing," he concluded.
