SIAK - The Regent of Siak Alfedri inaugurated 30 members of the Flag Raising Force (Paskibra) who would be tasked with raising and lowering the Red and White flags at the 74th RI independence ceremony at the Siak Regency level in the Tugu Depan Field in the Siak Palace. Thursday night (08/15/2019).

The regency-level Paskibra members were selected students from fourteen districts in Siak Regency. They are Siak's best sons and daughters from selection which was held some time ago by the related department.

The inauguration was carried out by the Regent of Siak Alfedri by binding Kendit (Special Belt) skills to members of the Paskibra, attended by the Acting. District Secretary. Siak Jamaluddin, Chair of the District Parliament. Siak Indra Gunawan and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum and the Head of SKPD within the Siak Regency government environment.

"Today, my brothers and sisters, I will be confirmed as the Flag Raising Troops. This inauguration means that Paskibra has the spirit of kestria, is responsible and is willing to sacrifice for the motherland, "Alfedri said.

In his mandate, the Siak Regent said that Paskibra members were chosen sons and daughters to carry out historical duties as Paskibraka members in 2019.

"The inauguration of the Siak Regency Flag Raising Troops that we do tonight is one of the containers meant for young people categorized as students to actualize themselves towards the love of the homeland and defending the country. As the Flag Raising Troops, all younger siblings are forged, galvanized, fostered, nurtured both physically and mentally to be more resilient, disciplined, and characterized, "he said.

Alfedri also advised that all members of Paskibraka Siak carry out their duties properly and responsibly by preparing themselves as well as possible, while maintaining health so that their duties run smoothly.

Meanwhile, the Head of Youth and Sport Agency (Dispora) Syahrudin said that the members of the Siak Regency Paskibraka were the result of selection from the best students from a number of districts that had been selected since last July.

"After going through the selection stage, 30 people were chosen to become paskibraka. "Since the beginning of August they have been trained by joint trainers from Siak Regional police and members of the Indonesian Army," Syahrudin said.

The Paskibraka troops have been undergoing a quarantine period for the consolidation and training of various abilities such as marching training, raising and decreasing the Saka Merah Putih, physical and spiritual health tests and general knowledge. ***
