Sending 14 Athletes, Pertina Riau Targets 5 Golds at 2019 Junior Amateur Boxing Championship in Medan

News24xx.com - The Provincial Management (Pengprov) of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (Pertina) Riau sent 14 of the best athletes to take part in the championship in Medan, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

The Junior Amateur / Teen Boxing National Championship will be held at the GOR Mini Pancing Medan from August 25 to August 31, 2019.

"There are four athletes that we bring are boxing athletes in the Riau Regional Office," Riau Pertina Pengprov Chairman Robin P Hutagalung through Pertina Riau Pertina Pengumv, Hasbullah Yazul told Riau1.com, Friday, August 24, 2019.

Hasbullah said, four boxers who would also represent Riau were on display at the Bengkulu Regional Office, namely three men, Galang Norson 49 kilograms class, Daniel Tamba 52 kilograms class and Hendrico Mendrofa 56 kilograms class.

"There is also one female athlete, Puji Lestari, a class of 57 kilograms. These four boxers go down in the Youth category at the National Championship in Medan later," he said.

Still Hasbullah said, for this championship in Medan, Riau boxing took home five golden wins, from the two categories taken, Junior and Youth.

"Almost all become our mainstay. In addition, this national championship is also a place to fly and also increase the flight hours of the Riau boxing athletes before taking Porwil in November 2019," he concluded.
