Hoffenheim on the verge of its first appereance in Champions League

News24xx.com -  Hoffenheim coach, Julian Nagelsmann aware his team not seeded in the play-off match of the Champions League against Liverpool. But he sure Hoffenheim could make a surprise.

Hoffenheim as a big surprise in the Bundesliga last season with finish in Champions League zone with ending the season in fourth position. Hoffenheim is on the verge of its first appearance in European competition.

But Hoffenheim had to pass through a play-off round first. They will be competing for a ticket to the group phase with Liverpool. Hoffenheim will first be the host in the first leg, on Wednesday, August 16 2017 early morning GMT.

Nagelsmann refer to Liverpool as Favorites in the duel. But he cautioned that his team could not be considered one eye.

"It is obvious. I realize that,"Nagelsmann replied when asked if Hoffenheim could make surprise.

"Of course we know Liverpool are favourites in this meeting and we know we can, with a good match, surprising our opponents."

"I don't know if we have to surprise them or United Kingdom public but I can also say we need top appearance to make it happen," he said as reported by the Mirror.
