PELALAWAN - PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) took part in the Pelalawan Expo 2019 event which was officially opened by Deputy Governor of Riau, Edy Natar Nasution with Pelalawan Regent HM Harris Sunday (6/10/2019), in the Creative Pangkalan Kerinci field, Pelalawan , Riau.

Pelalawan Expo itself is a series of 20th anniversary celebrations for Pelalawan Regency on 12 October 2019.

At Pelalawan Expo 2019 this time, PT RAPP's stand not only displayed wood fiber into paper but also displayed wood fiber into viscose fiber from the Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) and also the camera trap results from the Riau Ecosystem Restoration (RER).

Not only paper products, viscose fibers and camera trap results, also displayed a variety of handicrafts from elementary school children who are fostered by Community Development (CD) through the School Improvement Program.

The Head of Education CD RAPP, Sundari Berlian explained that this program is a community development program and this has become a superior program. Previously this program was part of Pelita Pendidikan.

"This program is designed for teachers, principals and school supervisors. Some training is also held to develop the skills of teachers so that the quality of students also improves," said Sundari who is familiarly called Neneng.

In addition to learning, the training provided to partner schools also aims to improve school accreditation and support Adiwiyata schools.

"A number of our target schools have received adiwiyata, even their achievements have improved. For accreditation, physical evidence of activities in schools is very important, without it not being included in the accreditation assessment. Then it is also necessary to enrich the preparation of accreditation readiness material from partner schools," she said.

Neneng said that currently there are 60 schools in the School Improvement Program in five districts. (Release)
