News24xx.com - Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) police chief together with the joint team again struggled to extinguish the fires that struck the land on the people's coconut plantations, Saturday 12 October 2019.

The fire broke out on the border of Parit 5, Paruna Street, Pekan Thursday Village and Trench 6, Tembilahan Barat Village, Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.

Inhil Police Chief AKBP Indra Duaman, who led the blackout team, said it had deployed 26 joint personnel consisting of members of Inhil Police Station and Tembilahan Hulu Police Station.

Meanwhile, Head of Inhil BPBD, Yuspik, who also went down during the outage, said that his party brought 4 units of portable fire engines and 30 personnel to put out the fire that burned the peatlands.

One witness who is also the owner of a burning garden, Dian (32) tells, the fire was only known to be enlarged at night and he tried to try to extinguish the fire. "I made a limit so that the fire did not spread, but the fire was too large so that I sought the help of other residents," he said.
