PT RAPP Won the Best Stand at Pelalawan Expo, School Improvement Program Attracts Many Visitors

PANGKALAN KERINCI - PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) won the first best stand for the Non OPD category at Pelalawan Expo 2019. During Pelalawan Expo 2019, the RAPP stand not only displayed the results of wood fiber into paper but also displayed wood fiber into viscose fiber from Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) and also the results of camera traps from Riau Ecosystem Restoration (RER). Coupled with the display of various handicrafts from elementary school (SD) srudents that are fostered by Community Development (CD) through the School Improvement Program.

Pelalawan Expo 2019, which was held at the Pangkalan Kerinci Creative Field, Pelalawan, Riau from 6 to 12 October 2019 was visited by thousands of visitors from various field of life such as ASN, TNI / Polri, private employees, even school students also visited this RAPP stand. They are enthusiastic to take photos with products manufactured by RAPP such as PaperOne. Then with Bono batik which has become the pride of Pelalawan residents. In addition, visitors also take selfies with clothes made of viscose rayon and then upload on their social media.

The School Improvement program also attracted many visitors. Because, in this program students are taught a reading culture early on, school principals are trained in school-based management (SBM) to improve school quality and achieve national education goals and the Teaching and Learning Process (PBM).

The Director of RAPP who also represented APR and RER management, Mhd Ali Shabri, said that the pulp and paper company continued to display products originating from the mill. The aim is to educate various levels of society. So that people know if the process of making pulp, paper and rayon viscose by applying the principle of sustainability.
