Protesters use whistles, smoke and sirens, until the situation heats up and the protesters clash with the police.

The police were forced to shoot tear gas and water cannons at fellow emergency services professionals.

Firefighting unions are demanding higher premiums. They want their premiums are equal to bonuses received by the police.

Paris police said 7,400 people were involved in the action.

During the demonstration, firefighters received support from doctors, nurses, and ambulance workers, who also condemned the lack of facilities in their work.
