"In Javanese it means very good, Jan means very much, Ethes means deft, very fitting. This is a superior variety, in the future this variety will continue to be developed. The hope is that this type of wine will increase domestic grape production, and become our new superior fruit product, "Syahrul said, Friday (15 November 2019).

The name was pinned Syahrul after directly tasting the green wine. According to him, the taste of wine is sweet and fresh. In addition, the texture of the flesh is crispy and not too runny.

This wine can be stored for seven days at room temperature and in the cold room can last up to 14 days. This plant variety is also superior in terms of productivity which reaches 25 kilograms per plant per year.

At the event, the Minister of Agriculture was also grateful because Indonesia had new varieties of grapes and hoped that there would be further varieties of Janetes grapes, namely SP2 and 3.

When being asked if he had asked permission from Jokowi about the name, the Minister of Agriculture smiled. "I have not permitted anyone. Jan Ethes is a tropical wine that tastes quite different. He is in development can have competitiveness," he said.
