The incident made them have many stitches in their treatment.

One of the victims, known only as Zhang, told the newspaper on November 15 that he was originally riding his electric bicycle in the Tai'an city park.

However, she suddenly felt a pain in her neck.

"I fell to the ground and my bicycle finally landed 10 meters away. I was confused," she said.

Feeling something was wrapped around her neck, Zhang realized that her neck had been cut open by a kite.

A few minutes earlier, another woman, known as Li, was also injured. The wound was caused by a kite string that was on the road where two victims were driving their vehicle.

"I ride a bicycle very slowly but don't see any rope at all."

"I just felt my neck hurt and quickly reached for the rope."

"In the end, my glove was cut off," Li said.

"I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't managed to retrieve it."

The doctor in charge of Zhang said that his patient could lose her life if the wound were deeper.

A spokesman from the park confirmed to reporters on November 16 that the incident was indeed true.

They also said that they did not have CCTV footage of the incident because surveillance cameras in the area were recently damaged due to planting several trees.

Local police are investigating the incident.

Although this may seem like a strange accident, it is not the first time a kite string has caused serious injury.

Three months ago, a four-year-old Indian girl also died because her throat was cut by a kite string while she was riding her father's motorcycle.
