News24xx.com - The family of Hyderabad technician Prashant Vaindam was arrested in Pakistan for illegally entering the country. They denied the allegations that Vaindam was a spy. Vaindam's father, Babu Rao, had told the police in Hyderabad that his son was missing in 2017 and he had complained to the police that his son could not be traced.

He made the statement after Pakistani authorities said they arrested two Indians, including Vaindam in Bahawalpur for illegally entering the country.

Pakistan said they were arrested last week, while Rao revealed that he had received information in 2017 about the arrest of his son. He received the information from an official who claimed to be from the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), an Indian foreign intelligence agency.

"But I did not believe at the time," he said.

Another person arrested by Pakistan was identified as Durmi Lal, a farmer from Madhya Pradesh.

"My son is not a spy. He is a fun traveler who wants to go to Switzerland to find the woman he loves, "Rao said.

Vaindam, a software engineer. He disappeared when he worked in a company based in Bengaluru after his girlfriend left India for Switzerland.

Indian authorities assume that Vaindam is about to overtake his girlfriend. However, later he was deceived by a travel agent who promised to deliver him from Pakistan using fake documents through illegal routes.

"But once he reached Pakistan by crossing the Rajasthan border, agents left him there after taking large sums of money," officials said. Vaindam believes that it will be easier to go to Europe from Pakistan via Turkey.

Vaindam has sent a video message to his family through an official channel expressing hope that he will soon be back with the family. Cyberabad police commissioner VC Sajjannar also assured Babu Rao that his son would soon be deported to India by Pakistani authorities.
