Six Elephant Crossings Road Are Prepared at Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road

Hutama Karya (HK) Company Secretary Muhammad Fauzan said that his party will provide six elephant trajectories on the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road, which is currently still in the works.

"The number of shortcuts is six tracks that we have prepared. There is one track that is wider in section two and the rest in section four," said M Fauzan Wednesday, last December 4, 2019.

Fauzan explained, the crossing of the elephants is deliberately made so as not to disturb the habitat or activity of the elephants that often pass around the toll road construction area.

He explained that the construction of the elephant migration tunnel does indeed cost a large amount. For the construction itself, said Fauzan, it is almost similar to the SKA flyover.

"The width of the corridor alone we made 25 meters and a height of about five meters more. This needs to be taken into account as well. Instinctively crossing elephants for transmigration they must be accommodated for their habitat," explained Fauzan.

In addition, for the work of the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road and during the assignment of HK in five provinces, Riau Province has an extraordinary ability in managing the acceleration of toll road project work.
