ABC News reported, Tabuk is currently the coldest region in Saudi Arabia.

The temperature reaches 4 degrees Celsius.

"A terrible storm was tracked from Southern Europe and the Mediterranean to the Middle East last week. This brought cold air in Tabuk and caused snow to fall," explained AccuWeather senior meteorologist Eric Leister.

From many videos circulating in cyberspace, camels appear to walk in the snow, not sand. Many locals also play snow.

Snow is indeed rare in Saudi Arabia.

However, this phenomenon is not entirely unusual.

In April 2019, the country was also reported to have experienced snow.

However, this year, this phenomenon can be said to be more severe, because the falling snow caused the Tabuk residents to have trouble doing activities.
