Miraculous! La Arimansi, 87-year-old Grandfather Who Had Lost 10 Days in the Forest Finally Was Found Safe

News24xx.com -After 10 days of being lost in the forest, finally a grandfather from Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, was found safe. In order to survive, the grandfather reportedly only drank water from the roots of rattan plants.

The grandfather was named La Arimansi (87), a resident of Wakuli Village, Kapuntori District, Buton Regency. He was evacuated by the SAR Team and members of the Baubau District Police while lying limp from the Bonto Forest. Soon the grandfather was taken to the nearest village.

Baubau SAR Post Commander Hasruddin Ere said, before disappearing, the victim was about to head to the garden alone in Wakuli Village. In the middle of the road, he lost his way into the City Forest of Baubau.

The victim was first discovered by a resident who passed in the forest. The discovery of the victim was then reported to the officer.

"The grandfather claimed to survive by drinking only water from rattan plants in the forest," he said, Tuesday, January 21, 2020, quoting from iNews.id.

When found, the victim was immediately given sweet tea to add strength. He was then evacuated out of the forest by stretcher.

After reaching the nearest housing complex, the grandfather was immediately taken to the Bungi Community Health Center, Bungi District, Baubau City, for treatment.
