Petrucci disappointed because Marquez overtaking his victory on MotoGP San Marino


Danilo PetrucciDanilo Petrucci - Marc Marquez step up as Danilo Petrucci failed to reach plain sight victory in MotoGP of San Marino. Although disappointed, Petrucci were happy because he can went up to the podium.

In the race at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on Sunday (10/9), Petrucci had made a surprise lead in the pole position. Octo Pramac Racing Ducati racers began leading in the seventh lap.

Petrucci has continued to be in pole position until entering the last laps. He had been followed by Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso. But in the last round, Petrucci lost his position. He was taken over by Marquez that appear aggressive on the last lap. Marquez eventually ends up leading Petrucci that has to be satisfied in second place.

Petrucci regret failing for his first victory in the premier class. But taking podium after difficult race conditions he said is not a bad outcome. "Very mixed feelings and I am glad to be on the podium again in Italy, but I led the race for the last, I don't know how many rounds and I was quite scared because this morning we know if the track was quite slippery, especially in some corner," Petrucci said as reported by the Crash.

"He (Marquez) was superb in the last round and I am a bit sad because the second-place finish but I have no regrets because I tried all race. He was unbelievable in the last lap so he deserved to win," he said.
