78 Diamond Princess Cruises from Indonesia are Quarantined in Japan78 Diamond Princess Cruises from Indonesia are Quarantined in Japan - Following the detection of the corona virus on the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship in Yokohama, 78 Indonesian Citizens who were crew members on the ship were quarantined by the Japanese Authority. On 7 February 2020, the Japanese government encountered cruise ship passengers infected with the corona virus (2019-nCoV).

Reporting from, Saturday (02/08/2020), found 41 passengers who were positively infected by the corona virus on the ship. All of them have been moved and isolated in hospitals in Kanagawa Prefecture.

"All Indonesian citizens are currently in good health. The Indonesian Embassy has also established communications with Indonesian citizens to monitor their conditions and provide the necessary assistance," said Director of Protection of Indonesian Citizens and Indonesian Legal Entities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, in an official statement.

According to the health protocol, the quarantine process will be carried out for 14 days. The ship has also provided logistics needs, telephone services, and free internet to make it easier for the crew and passengers to communicate with families.

Corona virus death toll has now reached 724 and Chinese health authorities reported 3,399 new cases in mainland China. According to the South China Morning Post report, February 8, 2020, there were 81 new deaths in Hubei and five in other provinces. The Chinese National Health Commission reported a total of 722 deaths in mainland China on Friday.

In addition to 81 deaths, Hubei, which is the epicenter of the new Corona virus epidemic, reported earlier on Saturday that they had confirmed 2,841 new cases. Total Corona virus cases in the province are now 24,953 confirmed cases and 699 deaths.
