Riau Health Office Prepares 300 Isolation Rooms for Corona Patients

To anticipate the surge in the number of patients with corona virus outbreaks or Covid-19, the Riau Provincial Government has prepared hundreds of isolation rooms for patients.

The Head of Riau's Health Service (Diskes), Mimi Yuliani Nazir, said that her office had prepared 300 isolation rooms.

"Our current isolation rooms, both those in hospitals and those from additions, total a total of around 300," said Riau Health Office Head, Mimi Yuliani Nazir, Saturday 28 March 2020.

Mimi explained, of the hundreds of isolation rooms scattered in a number of Covid-19 referral hospitals, only a few were equipped with ventilators.

"So, the ventilator facility is only for severe patients. Whereas for Covid-19 patients who are not too severe, in the usual isolation room," she said.
