On the Way to Save Corona Virus Victims, a Doctor in Malaysia Just Experienced a Deadly Accident

News24xx.com - A tragic car accident occurred in Gua Musang, Kelantan, which involved a van filled with a surgical team, and a 9-month-old baby.

According to Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, this tragedy involved a van carrying a team of doctors who traveled from Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital, Kuala Krai to Gua Musang Hospital to undergo their Covid-19 medical assignments. The team consisted of one surgeon, three officers from the Surgical Medical Department, two officers from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and one of the officers' children.

According to Malaysiakini, the incident occurred when the team would reach the car out of control at Kilometer 11, Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala, Kampung Renok Baru at 9:50 am today (March 29).

One medical officer, Dr. Nooranisah Mohd Razali died at the scene, while his son died at Gua Musang Hospital at 11:02 due to internal injuries. The rest of the passengers in the van are safe and are currently receiving treatment at Gua Musang Hospital.

Gua Musang Police Chief Inspector Mohd Taufik Maidin told the press that a victim was thrown out of the vehicle before the vehicle lost control and fell.

Mohd Razali explained that Dr. Nooranisah had to bring his son to his workplace in the hospital because he was assigned for a certain period of time.

He also added that the two victims were sent to the forensic department at Gua Musang Hospital for an autopsy before giving their bodies back to their families.
