Van der Mark prepares to replace Rossi at Aragon

News24xx.com - Michael van der Mark will still go to Aragon at the end of this week. However, Van der Mark do not yet know whether he will be raced or merely be spectators. Van der Mark was previously appointed by Movistar Yamaha to be a replacement for Valentino Rossi in MotoGP Aragon. Related to injuries experienced by Rossi some time ago.

However, Rossi then decided to try performing in Aragon after previously absent in Misano. The Doctor is back and led a private test at Misano on Monday (18/9) and Tuesday (19/9) to test his condition.

Van der Mark could at any time needed in Aragon. The reason is Rossi still has to undergo further medical tests after the first free practice session on Friday (22/9). If Rossi does not get the green light to join the race, Van der Mark will be his successor.

Van der Mark could even be featured in racing MotoGP Aragon without following a single session of free practice if Rossi is not ready. In fact, he hasn't had the experience with motor YZR-M1 used Yamaha in MotoGP.

"Even though it is not yet certain whether I will be riding the YZR-M1 this weekend, I still await him. I really want to ride the YZR-M1, but I also fully support the Valentino to come back," said Mark Van der, Crash.net was quoted as saying.

"I will do my debut in MotoGP or, if I could not be raced, I'll watch Valentino directly because he did a comeback," he added.
