Tontowi/Liliyana and Praveen/Debby to quarterfinals after fighting in three game

News24xx.com -  Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir and Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto are cruised into the quarterfinals of the Badminton World Championships 2017. They have to fight in three games to win the quarterfinal tickets.

In a match at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow, Scotland, Tontowi/Liliyana had the hassle of facing the Irish representative, Sam Magee/Chole Magee. Had lost in the first game, Tontowi/Liliyana finally won the game with 19-21, 21-16, 21-10.

Lost in the first game, Praveen/Debby got up in the next two games. After fighting for 63 minutes, Praveen/Debby finally won the game from the Indian pair with a tight score of 20-22, 21-18, 21-18.

Praveen/Debby is already awaited by the top superior, Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen, in the quarterfinals. Head-to-head, Praveen/Debby trailed 0-4 from the world number one pair.
