Eye Pain is Suspected As One of the Symptoms of Someone Infected by Corona Virus

The association was revealed from the results of a search analysis on Google. In the United States of America with a high number of corona cases, there has been an increase in search volume with the keyword 'my eye hurt'.

"In other words, I explore the question of the symptoms that are sought with unusual numbers in states with high COVID-19 cases," Seth Stephens-Davidowitz was quoted as saying by the New York Times.

The three highest searches related to infection symptoms are 'loss of smell' or loss of ability to smell, fever or chills.

Eye pain is the fourth highest search in the state with the highest number of corona cases. Even higher than diarrhea and nasal congestion.

Searches related to eye pain in the last 7 days were highest in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Louisiana, and Michigan.

"These searches appear to be increasing almost exclusively in certain regions which have a very high number of cases," he explained.

However, until now there has been no official explanation by experts about the symptoms that are suspected as one of the signs of corona disease.
