PEKANBARU - An appeal to remain at home just to break the chain of the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19) makes the economy in Pekanbaru City sluggish. Buying and selling traders began to decrease because of fears of the spread of the plague.

This is very much felt by street vendors, in recent weeks their sales have been quiet. One of the satay traders who used to hang out in Purna MTQ claimed to have to close his wares and switch to selling masks on the roadside of Sudirman.

"Since a few weeks there have been no more visitors to the MTQ field, the satay trade is quiet, so now I sell masks," said the trader while talking with Riau24.com.

He continued, not only himself, the trader who used to sell their things around the MTQ Purna Field was also affected because of an appeal to stay at home to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
