Residents of the Victoria shared videos on social networks on which you can see how some luminous objects fly through the dark sky and go out.

Eyewitnesses immediately decided that they had witnessed a meteor shower, which lasted about 20 seconds.

After some investigation, it turned out later, the meteor shower was Russian space debris.

Its origin was explained by astrophysicists. These are parts of a Russian space object. More precisely, the third stage of the rocket, which was used to launch the satellite.

“A low speed of about 6 kilometers per second is a very telling sign that this is space debris,” said Jonty Hunter, professor of astrophysics at the University of South Queensland, Tech Times reported.
