News24xx.com -  A terrible incident occurred to one product of IKEA in California. A toddler was found trapped underneath an Ikea Malm dresser in May 2016. After that incident, IKEA has issued a recall of certain models of Malm dressers.

As we known, the toddler named Jozef Dudek died beneath a tipped IKEA dresser. IKEA first issued withdrawal from circulation of that dressers in June 2016.


Although IKEA has issued a recall of certain models of Malm dressers, but the furniture is still on sale in the United Kingdom.

IKEA, a company from Swedish has told consumers to ensure that dressers fixed to the wall, its safe from children although eight children die because their product.

In reality, a toddler have died when the Malm furniture tipped over such as Jozef Dudek's incident.


Now, CEO Lars Petersson relaunched the recall this week.

"We would like to reassure people that IKEA chests of drawers are safe when anchored to the wall as per the assembly instructions, using the tip over restraint provided with the product."


"IKEA urges all customers to check that their chests of drawers are securely anchored to the wall. Any customer is welcome to contact us on 0203 6450010 (UK) to request a free replacement restraint kit if they haven’t already fixed their chest of drawers to the wall.
