Has big debt in the bank, PT. Riau Airlines is difficult to re-revive

News24xx.com -  Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Riau immediately affirm the status of Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of PT. Riau Airlines (RAL). Based on the results of BPKP audit and inspectorate of Riau Province, its difficult to re-revive PT. RAL, because it has big debt in the bank.

 

Head of Bureau of Natural Resources and Administration of Natural Resources (SDA) Riau, Darusman conveyed.

"Its not unfair if we must revive this company. We must bear the big debt, but the dividend (profit sharing) is not to us (Riau province), " he told to News24xx.com on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

Darusman argues that by declaring the bankrut of Riau Airlines, it not spend the Regional Budget (APBD)of Riau. So, Riau provincial government can focus to improve their performance.

"So, we not spend bigt budget for RAL," he said.

But, before bankruptcy of Riau Airlines, the salary of employees which is still arrears and debts at Muamalat Bank will be audited again. For your information, RAL has delinquent employees salary until IDR 400 million, not include its debt at Muamalat Bank.

"It is not easy to declaring the bankrupt of a company because there are many things to be done like to pay salaries of employees and pay the debt in bank, so we still wait for the audit to be complete our report," he said.

In addition to RAL there are two other BUMDs that are classified as unhealthy company, ie PT Sarana Pembangunan Riau (SPR) and PT Riau Petroleum. But Riau Provincial Government took steps to improve the performance of both.

To improve the performance of Riau Petroleum, Riau Provincial Government seeks to obtain Partipacipating Interest (PI) from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) until 10 percent.

While to SPR, the goverment will try to cooperate in managing Water Supply System (SPAM) or fish canning.
