News24xx.com - Military officials in Myanmar are threatened with sanctions by the world. This is after the United States (US) agreed that act of Myanmar military operations against Rohingya is a way to made an ethnic cleansing.


As quoted from okezone, it was delivered by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. The assessment is similar to the UN Human Rights, Zeid Raad Al Hussein, that said if Myanmar has committed to made a genocide against to the Rohingyas.


Tillerson asserted that military officials who let or made the conflict wil get punishment. Although, the Myanmar military accused the Rohingya guerrillas of provoking the conflict.


But Tillerson still disagreed with the military operation that made until 600 thousand Rohingyas that composed of women, children and parents fled to neighboring country, ie Bangladesh.


"After conducting a thorough analysis of the facts, it is clear that the situation in North Rakhine state is an ethnic cleansing of Rohingyas," he said, as reported by NBC on Thursday, November 23, 2017.


Tillerson said the violence against the Rohingyas was intolerable. Tillerson told the perpetrators must to keep accountable for everything.

Tillerson also called the government and Myanmar military to respect about human rights.

Tillerson's statement has been based on a lengthy investigation to ascertain whether the violence that occurred in Rohingya, is includes ethnic cleansing or not.


Previously, Tillerson had met with de facto leader of Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi and the leader of Myanmar military, Min Aung Hlaing in Naypitaw.

Tillerson's arrival to pressure the Myanmar government to resolve the Rohingyas conflict and to return the refugees from Bangladesh.
