News24xx.com -  An Israeli man named Yinon Reuveni was sentenced until four years in prison after burning churches. The verdict was dropped in court at Galilee District District Court, Nazareth, on Tuesday December 12 2017 local time

Though the church is trusted by Christians as a place that Jesus showed miracles about bread and fish, but he is still burning many churches in Israel.

Yinon was found guilty of setting fire the church and was involved in two criminal conspiracies in June 2015 attack.

Besides being sentenced to four years imprisonment, he had to pay a fine of 50 thousand shekels (USD 14 thousand).

According to Israeli media, Reuveni is a 23-year-old man from Baladim, the outpost of the West Bank. He is described as a Jewish extremist. His lawyer, Itamar Ben-Gvir said that he would file an appeal.

Two rooms in the Church of Bread and Fishing at Tabgha on the northwest bank of the Sea of Galilee were severely damaged by Reuveni.

But the church is not broken. The Hebrew graffiti is found at the scene of the case, the sound of 'idols being driven' or destroyed. The text is part of the general prayer of the Jews.

The Roman Catholic Church is still closed until February 2018 for remedial activities. The cost of repairs amounted to USD 1 million, the Israeli government contributed just USD 400 thousand.

Tabgha was also the target of the attack in April 2014. At that time, the church officials said there was a mob of Jewish teenagers destroying crosses and attacking priests.

Jewish extremists have been vandalizing and attacking for years. They target Palestinians and Arab Israelis, as well as Christian and Islamic sites.
